(Adoption) Still waiting

Figured it's been a while since we've sent an update on the adoption of our kiddos from Haiti. We are currently in the final major stage, called MOI (Ministry of the Interior). This stage had been taking about 2-4 months to complete and move on to Visa and Passport printing. We have now been in MOI for 6 1/2 months, and were just told this last week that there are more hold-ups and more paperwork being required. There is no end in sight at this point.

Our greatest need right now is prayer. Diligent, fervent prayer. We would ask for prayer for us, as we go day-to-day with the hope and disappointment and weariness of this process. We would also ask you to pray for our kids. They are being well-taken-care-of, but they're not with their "forever family", and we long to have them with us.

Satan is working very hard in Haiti to keep thousands of children there, who would otherwise be coming home to Christian families all over the world (US, Canada, France, Spain). The national religion of Haiti is voodoo and is practiced to it's fullest by a major portion of the population (this is a satanic culture, that goes to witch doctors, curses neighbors and relatives and spouses, and sacrifices animals and children). We Desperately want our children home!!

So while we know our kids can get a more caring and Christian environment here with us, we know that God is ultimately in control of the whole situation, and He alone knows WHEN they will come home. Some days it's hard for us to remember this, as our mommy and daddy hearts hurt. But we KNOW this in the back of our minds and we just have to keep reminding ourselves that He is in control, and He knows what's best for our kids and He will protect them while we can't.
